Strength Pilates in
Hackney Central
Reformer Pilates, built for strength. Our second East London studio sits in a Victorian railway arch on Morning Lane — ten Powerformers, every level from Foundation to Power, a short walk from Hackney Central station.

Reception
The double glass-door entrance greets you straightaway — look through and you’ll see the class before yours finishing up, or yours being set up. Two changing rooms are to your left; get ready before class.
Storage & seating
The wall to your right — weights in hand for class, with space to store your things and a seat while you wait.
The floor
Ten Powerformers, ready to work — the room where every class runs. The water station sits at the back of the studio, with a single toilet through the door beyond.
Nothing you don’t.

Common questions
I’ve never done reformer Pilates — is it beginner-friendly?
Yes. Foundation is where you learn proper technique — the base every class builds on — and it suits complete beginners as well as anyone wanting to sharpen their form. Every class has an instructor guiding you through each move, so you’re never on your own. If you’re new, the Power Intro (3 classes for £45) is the easiest way to start.
What’s the Power Intro?
Three Strength Pilates classes for £45, with a pair of grip socks included — that’s £15 a class. It’s for new clients, one per person, and you can use it across any class tier: Foundation, Elevate or Power. The best way to try us properly before committing.
How long is a class?
50 minutes.
What are the class tiers?
Three. Foundation is where you learn proper technique and build your base. Elevate steps up the pace and load. Power is our most demanding class. You move up when you’re ready — there’s no fixed order, and the Power Intro lets you try across all three.
Do I need grip socks, and what should I bring?
Grip socks are required on the reformer for safety and hygiene — a pair is included free with the Power Intro. Bring water and wear comfortable activewear. That’s it. You can buy grip socks in studio if you need a pair.
How do I book?
Everything’s booked online. Pick your class or the Power Intro on our website and you’re in. Memberships, class packs and drop-ins are all there too.
What is Strength Pilates on the Powerformer™?
It’s reformer Pilates built around strength, not just flexibility. We train on the Powerformer — a reformer designed for progressive load — so you build real strength through controlled, low-impact movement. Stronger. Better.
Where exactly is the Hackney studio?
Railway Arch 192, Morning Lane, London E9 6LJ — in the heart of Hackney Central. There’s a waiting area inside, so come in and settle before class.
Is there parking or good transport nearby?
Easiest by public transport — Hackney Central and Hackney Downs stations are both close, with plenty of buses along Mare Street and Morning Lane. Street parking is limited and mostly pay-and-display, so transport is the simpler option.
